<p>This may be a passport or an identitycard.</p><ul><li>Are you coming to live in the Netherlands from a country outside Europe? Then take your residence permit, written decision&nbsp;or&nbsp;authorization for temporary residence (MVV sticker) in your passport.</li><li>If you want to register from Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, Saba or Sint Eustatius, you must also bring proof of deregistration.</li></ul>

Make sure you have a valid identity card

<p>You will need the birth certificates of all persons who will be registered with you.<br>Also bring your other documents such as your marriage certificate, divorce certificate, et cetera.</p><p>Don't have birth certificates? You must submit them to the municipality within 6 months of your registration. <p>Go to your appointment to get registered at publiekslocatie Centrum (40, Coolsingel).</p><p>Make sure that:</p><ul><li>you bring all the required documents</li><li>everyone who needs to be registered is present in person</li></ul><p>Usually, your registration will be processed within 4 weeks after you have submitted all the documents. You will be informed in writing.</p>
