Vice mayor
The city of Rotterdam is part of the DNA of vice mayor Ronald Buijt. He is responsible for Healthcare, the Elderly and youthcare.
As a vice mayor from the political party Leefbaar Rotterdam, he strives for a good health and quality of life for the people of Rotterdam. His most important tasks: making sure healthcare is available and affordable.
Thuisplusflats
For the healthcare of the elderly, Ronald arranged 14 new Thuisplusflats, Rotterdam now has a total of 20. They are housing complexes where healthcare is added to support the elderly living there. The vice mayor is also working on new complexes, they have yet to be built.
The Thuisplusflats are an important target for the vice mayor, they are part of his plan 'Goud voor Oud' (Dutch). Link opens an external page.
Social shelter

Ronald Buijt is born and raised in Rotterdam, during his life he has seen many sides of life in the city. His previoud occupation has been in transports and logistics. He has had jobs with several different seacontainer shipping companies as Marsk Lins, Senator Line and Visbeen.
From 2006 Ronald was politcally active for 12 years in the city councol of Rotterdam for his party Leefbaar Rotterdam.
The recent years he was manager at the political party JA21 in The Hague.
