Start registration for non-residents

Step 1 of 4

Fill out the form

Fill out the form 'Inschrijven in de Registratie Niet-ingezetenen'. Link opens an external page in a new browser tab. on the website of the Ministry of Internal affairs.

After completing the form, you will receive a personal QR code by email. You will need this QR code for your appointment.

Step 2 of 4

Gather documents

You will need the following documents:

  • the personal QR code you received after filling out the form in step 1
  • a valid passport or identity (ID) card
  • if you are from outside the EU or EEA: your visa, residence permit or work permit
  • the confirmation email for your appointment
    You will receive this confirmation after making an appointment in step 3

If you are registering a child aged 15 or younger, also gather the following documents:

Make an appointment

Registration takes place at the counter. You need to make an appointment.

Go to your appointment

The RNI counter can be found at Burgerzaken Centrum. Link opens an external page in a new browser tab.. Bring all the documents you have gathered to the appointment.

If you are registering your child, your child must also be present at the registration.
